A happily married couple anticipates a first-rate meal at the famous Cliff House while their children bounce giddily in the back seat, eager to attack the ski slopes. Upon entering the year-round resort of Spruce Peak at Stowe at the base of Mt. Mansfield, Vermont’s highest mountain peak, thoughts of this nature are not uncommon. The meticulously designed alpine community is in its first year of construction.
